A temple at Varthur dedicated to Lord SHIVA & BALAJI.

Pray to the Supreme God.
Pray to the Supreme Lord by offering Jasmines.
Pray to the Destroyer of Sins.

As per Hindu legend, the presiding deity in the form of Linga
(an iconic form of Shiva) was worshipped with jasmine
(locally called in Telugu as Mallika), leading to the name of presiding deity as Mallikarjuna.
Shiva is known as The Destroyer within the Trimurti, the Hindu trinity which also includes Brahma and Vishnu. In the Shaivite tradition, Shiva is the Supreme Lord who creates, protects and transforms the universe.
Shiva has pre-Vedic roots, and the figure of Shiva evolved as an amalgamation of various older non-Vedic and Vedic deities, including the Rigvedic storm god Rudra.

According to the Brahmanda and Bhavishyottara Puranas, the word "Venkata" means "destroyer of sins", deriving from the Sanskrit words vem (sins) and kata (power of immunity).
The five deities are Dhruva Beram (Moolavar), Kautuka Beram, Snapana Beram, Utsava Beram, and Bali Beram. All the pancha berams are placed in the Garbha griha under Ananda Nilayam Vimanam
Venkateswara, an avatar of Vishnu, possesses the power of the Trimurti: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, and some sects believe that Venkateswara holds the power of Shakthi and Skanda too.
